Solar2, on behalf of Stoke Lanes Solar Ltd submitted a planning application in June 2025. The application has since been updated to reflect feedback received from residents, statutory consultees and other stakeholders.

If planning permission is granted, Stoke Lane Solar Farm will:
- Support the UK’s transition away from fossil fuels and contribute to energy security, with an export capacity of up to 35MW (megawatts)
- Generate enough electricity (39 GWh) to meet the annual needs of up to approximately 11,000* homes
- Offer a community benefit package
- Offset approximately 17,000** tonnes of CO2 per year.
